| Flushing, NY (Sports Network) - The San Diego Padres placed third baseman Chase Headley and pitcher Ernesto Frieri on the 15-day disabled list Monday. Headley fractured his left pinkie finger while sliding into second base Saturday against Pittsburgh. He is batting .292 with four home runs, 43 RBI and 42 runs scored in 107 games with the Padres this season. Frieri is suffering from a lower back strain.
