The 26-year-old had been on the DL with the same injury from July 19-August 8.

In a related move, the club recalled pitcher David Pauley from Triple-A Pawtucket. He was 14-4 with a 3.55 ERA in 25 starts with the PawSox and was tied for the International League lead in wins at the time of his promotion.
